Commercial Locksmith in Brisbane

A business has security needs a home never will: staff who come and go, contractors who need limited access, records of who can open what, and hardware rated for constant daily use. UrgentKey designs and maintains commercial locking for Brisbane offices, shopfronts, warehouses, hospitality venues and strata buildings — from a single master key hierarchy to restricted key systems that can't be copied at the local hardware store. We work around your trading hours so we're not the reason your doors are shut.

  • Restricted keys can't be copied without your written authority
  • Master systems give managers access while limiting staff to their areas
  • Commercial-grade hardware rated for high-traffic daily use
  • Work scheduled around your trading hours

How it works

What to expect when you call

1

Scope the site

We map your doors, who needs to reach what, and how your team actually moves through the space, then design an access hierarchy around it.

2

Design the key plan

You get a clear master/sub-master structure or access-control layout on paper before a single cylinder is cut — so it makes sense to you and your managers.

3

Install around your hours

We fit and commission the system with minimal disruption, scheduling the noisy or door-off work outside your trading times where possible.

4

Document and support

You get a documented key register and, for restricted systems, control over who can ever order another key. Ongoing rekey-on-staff-change support is available.

Commercial FAQs

What is a master key system and do we need one?

A master key system lets one key (the master) open every door while each staff member's key opens only their permitted doors. If you have multiple rooms, staff with different access needs, or a manager who needs to reach everything, it saves carrying a huge bunch of keys and keeps areas properly controlled.

How are restricted keys different from normal keys?

Restricted (or 'registered') keys are patent-protected and can only be cut by us with your written authorisation. Nobody can walk into a hardware store and copy them, which stops the slow security leak of untracked key copies — a common problem in offices and rentals.

Can you rekey our office after an employee leaves?

Yes, and we recommend it whenever someone with keys leaves on anything but the best terms. We can rekey affected doors quickly, or if you're on a restricted system, simply issue new authorised keys and retire the old ones.

Do you install electronic access control?

We do — keypads, fob and swipe readers, electric strikes and mag locks, and systems that log who entered and when. We'll advise whether mechanical, electronic or a hybrid best suits your premises and budget.

Trusted locally

Commercial — what customers say

Set up a master key system for our office so managers can reach everything and staff only their areas. Clear plan, tidy install, done outside our trading hours. Very professional.

Set up a master key system across our office so managers hold one key and staff only reach their own areas. Planned it clearly, installed after hours so nobody was disrupted, and labelled everything. Very professional.
Chris B. Newstead
Rekeyed our shopfront to restricted keys that can't be copied at the hardware store — exactly what we needed after a staff change. Quick, discreet and fairly priced. We'll use them for the other stores too.
